Our Clinics

We offer a range of regular clinics tailored to your healthcare needs. When you phone the practice, our team will advise which clinic is most appropriate and help you book an appointment.


Dr. Showkat provides specialist clinics including:

  • General medical consultations and ongoing patient care
  • Minor operations (e.g., joint injections and other minor surgical procedures)

Practice Nurse Clinics — Adele

Our practice nurse Adele provides a wide range of services to support your health and manage long-term conditions:

  • Blood tests, including monitoring for DMARDs (disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs), B12 levels, and blood pressure checks
  • Smear tests (cervical screening)
  • Contraceptive injections (DEPO-Provera)
  • Management of chronic diseases such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, stroke, and coronary heart disease (CHD)
  • New Patient Health Checks (NPHC)
  • On-the-day booking appointments for urgent nurse consultations
  • Birth control advice and family planning support


Other Healthcare Professionals

  • Locum GPs**: Provide additional GP cover and support when regular doctors are unavailable.
  • Pharmacist**: Offers medication reviews, advice on prescriptions, and support for managing your medicines safely.
  • Community Link Worker – Andy**: Helps connect patients with community services and social support to improve wellbeing.
  • Citizens Advice – Andrew**: Provides advice on social, financial, and legal issues that may affect your health and wellbeing.


Overseas Visitors


Treatment in an emergency is free for all. On-going care for pre-existing conditions may be subject to a charge for those visitors whom are not-entitled.

British Passport holders who live abroad are not automatically entitled to free care.  The rules are complex:

FEES

Any charge that we make may be covered by your Travel insurance. Currently, our charges for non-entitled patients are:

Private Consultation: £40

Private Prescription: £30


Any medication that the Pharmacy dispenses will attract a separate charge, in addition to the charge for the GP producing your prescription.
